BERLIN, August 10, 2021 – Xayn, the private search and discovery browser for the Internet, announces today that it is adding three new executives to its C-level. Following its 10 million EURO Series A investment round, the company is entering its next phase of growth, as it continues product development and expands into the Asian market.
Xayn combines the latest privacy-protecting AI technology with a strong focus on personalisation and user experience. The Berlin-based company re-defines the way people find information online. Xayn’s algorithms do not rely on centralised data collection. Instead, the AI trains directly on users’ devices. It does not transmit private information and provides users with an individually tailored web experience. The app has already been downloaded more than 215,000 times worldwide.
To extend Xayn’s corporate partnerships and bring in strategic investment, Dr Daniel von Heyl joins as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In a career that spans over 25 years, he has held leading positions at global financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has a track record of building up solid financial infrastructures and establishing fruitful corporate partnerships.
In the position of Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Michael Briggs will take Xayn’s global adoption to the next level. He has almost 20 years of expertise in digital marketing and growth hacking. His resume includes leading roles at Skyscanner and Canva. Known as a tenacious, out-of-the-box marketer, Briggs will apply his talents to scaling Xayn internationally and making the company a force to be reckoned with in online search worldwide.
Frank Pepermans is promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to match the company’s global growth with consistently great products. He brings more than 17 years of experience as a versatile developer and project architect. He has been the main creator of RxDart for Google Dart and his open-source frameworks have been used by leading tech companies. At Xayn, Pepermans will lead product development efforts across all platforms and devices.
“Xayn has reached the next step in its development,” said Leif-Nissen Lundbæk, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO. “We have started a conversation around privacy in online search and AI applications in general, and we are seeing it grow stronger each day. Now that we have the world’s attention, we have recruited top talent to make sure we continue delivering on our promise.”
“The professional acumen and consistently outstanding performance these three bring to the table make us proud to have them on our executive team,” said Felix Hahmann, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer. “With the successful new investment, this is the perfect time for growing the management to push the company to further growth."
